Carlos Mencia

Everybody who likes stand-up comedy has heard about Carlos Mencia. His real name is Ned Arnel MencĂa and he was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras on October 22, 1967, and never...but never tell him that he is a mexican.

Like many comedians, he focuses on race, sexual orientation, politics, religion, class and society, but in a style which intentionally violates rules of what is politically correct by, for example, making a point to use racial epithets or terms such as “retarded” rather than “disabled” or “mentally handicapped” and otherwise going out of his way to offend liberal sensibilities, such as by advocating capital punishment and sustaining a generally high level of raunchiness in his material. A staple of his material is diatribes denouncing the actions of people he considers to be stupid, often using his trademark “DEE-Dee-dee!” He has stated that the phrase does not refer to people “who were born retarded,” but rather people “who were born, and are now retarded.” As said in his "Dee-Dee-Dee" song, "Dee-Dee-Dee doesn't mean mentally retarded,, it means stupid. And all of you stupid people out there are going to find this song hilarious but you don't even know, its about you."

Rick Miller

I found this comedy act which is not a classic stand-up, but is really funny to hear the Queen song "Bohemian Rhapsody" in 25 annoying voices.

Robin Williams

I watched on Youtube probably the best one-man show ever did by Robin Williams on Broadway. I'm used with at the most 30 minutes stand up comedy acts, but this one has 2 hours of pure humorous lines.

UPDATE: The guys from youtube have removed my original posted videos, nut I find back some parts from Robin Williams' Broadway show.

Chris Rock

Christopher Julius Rock III (born February 7, 1966) is an Emmy and Grammy Award-winning American comedian, actor, screenwriter, television producer, film producer and director. He was described by Comedy Central as the fifth greatest stand-up comedian of all time.

He starred in his first HBO comedy special in 1994 titled Big Ass Jokes. But it was his second stand-up special, 1996's Bring the Pain, that reinvented Rock as one of the best comedians in the industry. His routine, which featured commentaries on race in America, stirred up a great deal of controversy. Rock won two Emmy Awards for that special.

Steve Trevino

Born and raised in Portland, TX, Steve Trevino started comedy at a young age. Trevino was the star in his second grade talent show -- making people laugh. He did so well that he came back every year after that to tell jokes to the student body.

Steve Trevino's uncanny ability to incorporate real-life scenarios and stories into his entertaining physical humor and strong stage presence, create a live stage dynamic that keeps crowds laughing and asking for more. It is no suprise that Steve has become one of the country's fastest up-and-coming comedians. Steve currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, his new home reflecting even more on his rock 'n roll personality and lifestyle.

Jon Reep

Jon Reep (born March 26, 1972 in Hickory, North Carolina) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. While attending a Carolina Panthers football game with his friends, Jon began to dance to the music during timeouts. As the game grew on, so did Jon's following in the crowd. People were laughing at Jon's antics, and soon the whole stadium was laughing at, and mimicking, Jon's actions. The Carolina Panther's mascot was so impressed with Jon, that he invited him onto the field. As Jon was performing "the worm" on the five yard line, he was pulled away by three stadium police. The police were oblivious to the fact that Jon had been invited onto the field. This is the point that Jon decided he wanted to pursue a career in comedy.

He has appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, NBC's Late Friday, CBS's Star Search and was a semi-regular on ABC's Rodney. In 2007, Jon starred in his own CMT Comedy Club special, and he will appear on the fifth season of NBC's Last Comic Standing.

Bill Burr

Bill Burr is an Irish American stand-up comedian from Canton, Massachusetts.

He performs over three hundred shows annually, has two movies to be released in 2006, as well as a performance on The Late Show with David Letterman. In 2004, he began working on Chappelle's Show. In September 2005, Bill's HBO One Night Stand special aired. Along with many other projects, Bill has also been a guest comedian on the Opie and Anthony Show on XM Satellite Radio, sometimes sitting in when third member Jim Norton is away. He has also performed a Comedy Central Presents show which marked the recognition of his talent as a comedian by one of the leading networks in the entertainment business.

In 2006, he gained notoriety for an incident in Philadelphia as a part of Opie and Anthony's Traveling Virus Comedy Tour. After the crowd began to boo him mercilessly, Burr decided to fight back. He abandoned his scripted material entirely, proceeding to hurl profanity-laced insult after insult toward the crowd themselves and the city of Philadelphia. He continued in this off-the-cuff manner for over ten minutes, and was treated to a lengthy standing ovation as he left the stage.

Lewis Black

Lewis Niles Black (born August 30, 1948) is a Grammy Award-winning American stand-up comedian, author, playwright, and actor. He is known for his regular appearances on Comedy Central's The Daily Show delivering his “Back in Black” commentary segment, in which he ridicules (often simulating a nervous breakdown or rant) recent trends and cultural phenomena.

Lewis Black’s style of comedy is that of a man who, in dealing with the absurdities of life and contemporary politics, is approaching his personal limits of sanity. Sarcasm, profanity, shouting, and trademark angry finger-shaking bring emphasis to his topics of discussion. He once described his humor as "being on the Titanic every single day and being the only person who knows what is going to happen."

George Carlin

George Dennis Carlin (born May 12, 1937 in New York) is a Grammy-winning American stand-up comedian, actor, and author.

Carlin is especially noted for his irreverent attitude and his observations on language, psychology, and religion along with many taboo subjects. In fact, Carlin and his "Seven Dirty Words" comedy routine were central to the 1978 U.S. Supreme Court case F.C.C. v. Pacifica Foundation, in which a narrow 5-4 decision by the justices affirmed the government's right to regulate Carlin's act on the public airwaves.

George Carlin's most recent stand up routines are primarily focused on attacking the flaws in modern-day America. He often takes on contemporary political issues in the United States and satirizes the excesses of American culture.
